My Oatmeal

Oatmeal is a sacred staple meal for me. I have it almost everyday and I always like to change it up whether it is with different fruits, nut butters, grains, etc. It's so filling, fiberful, and good for your cholesterol! This is one version that I like to use a lot!

Ingredients: 
1/3 cup rolled oats or unsweetened coconut flakes for Paleo 
1 tbsp chia seeds
1 tbsp ground flaxseed meal
2 egg whites
1 cup water (almond milk, cashew milk, coconut milk work great too!)
1/2 c chopped banana
1/2 c berries 
1/4 tsp cinnamon
1 tbsp almond butter

In a large ceramic cereal bowl, mix all ingredients together well and microwave on high for 2 minutes until desired temperature.

Note: You may need to add more water, or microwave longer depending on the the intensity of your microwave.
